So many new things.
Wow. These past 2 weeks have been wild. Preparing for marriage is no small task. Alice is doing a great job with the wedding planning, while I am sorting through honeymooning and housing. The stress monster is creeping up on me, but thankfully I have several people in my life that give me some perspective.
In addition to preparing to spend the rest of my life with alice (as if that isn’t a big enough task), I am now a stringer for the Jackson Sun. As you might recall in a previous post, Kellyn and I decided that we were going to persue some specific passions of ours. Photojournalism is mine.
I waited for a couple of months for the Sun to get back with me, and within a couple of days from meeting with the editor, I was out on assignment (I don’t know how good of an idea it was for them, being that I have never shot for a paper before). I don’t have anything good to show you yet, but hopefully a good grab will happen soon.
We have no clue what tomorrow brings. Employment, unemployment, opportunity, hopelessness, happiness, sorrow… We just have to make it through today.
As much as I want to take that advice, I have the hardest time letting go of the things I can’t even hold on to.
