work.
i work a lot these days. i am having a hard time figuring out if all my extra work is worth doing.
as we’ve previously established, i want to be a professional photographer. but it’s hard to know if i’ve got the chops. the only reason i continue to work at the paper is because it could help me become a professional photographer.
here’s some questions that i have been thinking about:
1. How do you convince someone to give you money for the images you could produce?
2. Is photography a pipe dream?
3. Should i try to do grad school or an internship (probably not an MFA, but maybe an MA in documentary photography or try to work for someone similar to joe mcnally, jeremy cowart, dave hill, etc.)?
If you wouldn’t mind, can you take a look at a couple of images i shot yesterday and respond? critiques are welcome. interpretation are even more welcome (do any of the images communicate anything?)
thanks
